By placing an order with Hand Poured Crafted Candles, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

Placing an Order
All orders are subject to availability and confirmation. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion, in which case a full refund will be issued.
Payment Methods
We currently accept payment via Yoco (Visa and Mastercard) as well as EFT. Additional payment options including Ozow will be available soon. Payment is required in full before your order is processed.
Pricing
All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Shipping costs are calculated separately at checkout. Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed orders will be honoured at the price paid.
Delivery Area
We ship nationwide across South Africa via courier. Delivery typically takes 3 to 4 business days from the date your order is placed.
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs range from R69 to R125 depending on the size and weight of your order. The exact amount is displayed at checkout before payment.
Delivery Timeframes
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may be affected by public holidays, courier delays, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will communicate any known delays as soon as possible.
Risk of Loss
Once your order has been handed over to the courier, risk passes to you as the customer. We package all items with care, but we are not liable for damage caused during transit. Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us immediately if there is a problem.
Our returns policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa. Under the CPA, you have the right to return goods that are defective, unsafe, or not fit for purpose.
Returns for Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.
Change of Mind Returns
We accept returns within the period stipulated by the CPA. Items must be unused, in their original condition, and in original packaging. Return shipping costs are for the customer's account.
Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed within 7 business days via the original payment method or EFT. Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.
Artwork Approval
All custom orders require artwork approval before production begins. We will share a design proof via WhatsApp, email, or phone. Once you approve the artwork, production starts and no changes can be made.
Customer-Approved Errors
Any errors present in artwork that has been approved by the customer are the customer's responsibility. Hand Poured Crafted Candles will not be liable for reprints, refunds, or replacements in such cases.
Artwork Fee
A non-refundable artwork fee of R150 per unique design applies to all custom orders, in addition to the cost of the candle. This fee covers the design and preparation of your artwork.
Custom Order Refunds
Because custom orders are made specifically for you, they are non-refundable once artwork has been approved and production has commenced, except in the case of a manufacturing defect on our part.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The most current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our website constitutes acceptance of any changes.
